Y’all, y’all, y’all—

vaquidditch:

As expected, the Sirius Blacksburg Brawl was amaaaaaazing. As with the River City Invitational, it really embodied the state of regional development and organization that Virginia quidditch can boast—we’re so proud!

We were also happy to invite High Country and University of Maryland (the latter of which took home first place) to come in and join us in the wonderful Chris Gumm’s last hurrah of quidditch before leaving for Germany. He did a fantastic job getting the tournament set up and moving smoothly, for which everyone is grateful.

Pictures and scores to be posted later, as made available to us. And when your VQL rep isn’t quite so tuckered out. Also, if you didn’t manage to get a sweet t-shirt commemorating the event, a little bird told us that a fresh batch might be ordered…to be confirmed or denied in due time.

Fingers crossed that everyone returned home safely, albeit burnt, bruised, and bloody (hopefully not broken) and we’ll see most of you soon at the second annual River City Invitational on March 24th!

Guten nacht!

Srsly tho, I’m pooped. It was a good day with lots of good people. I should have taken a cue from UofR’s pasty-faced Brennen and used some sunscreen, though.
